What the app stores, and where

Your pets, their everyday care, the record of who did what, your visits and the names of the people who help you care — all of it is saved in a database on your own device. None of it is transmitted anywhere.

Photos

If you add photos of your pet, the app stores a reference to the photo already in your iOS photo library. It does not copy the image, and it does not write anything back into your library.

One honest detail: because those photos are yours and may live in iCloud rather than on the phone itself, iOS may download one from your own iCloud Photos in order to show it to you. That is Apple fetching your own picture for you. Nothing is sent to us, because there is no "us" to send it to.

The optional scan that suggests which photos show your pet runs entirely on your device, and every suggestion waits for you to confirm it.

The one exception is the small profile picture you set for a carer or a pet. That one is copied into the app's own storage rather than referenced, so it can appear reliably even if the original photo moves or is deleted from your library. The copy stays on your device, is never uploaded anywhere, and is deleted automatically when you delete that carer or pet.

Asking for a feature

Settings has a screen called Ask for a feature. If you use it, the title and description you type are sent to us, along with the app's version number. Nothing else goes with them — not your name, not your pets, not your history, and nothing that identifies you or your phone.

Because there is nothing identifying attached, we cannot reply to you, and we cannot find or delete "your" request later — there is no way to tell which one was yours. That is the trade for not collecting anything about you. Please do not type anything into it you would not want stored anonymously.

The endpoint counts how many requests arrive from one internet address per hour, so it cannot be flooded. That counter is a one-way hash, never the address itself, and it is discarded after an hour.

What you tick when you set the app up

Setting the app up asks what would help you most and offers a short list to tick. If you tick anything, that list of ticks is sent to us so we can improve the app for the people using it. It is a list and nothing else — no name, no device, no pets, nothing that identifies you, and no way to link it back to you or to anything on your phone.

Your answers also shape what the app suggests to you, and that part happens entirely on your device. It is separate from the anonymous copy we see, and one is never matched to the other.

Sending it is optional, and the same hourly counter described above protects this too.

These two are the only features in the app that use the internet.

Reminders

Reminders are local notifications scheduled by your phone. They never leave it.

What we never do

• No accounts, no sign-in, no email address — we could not contact you if we wanted to.
• No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers.
• No third-party SDKs of any kind.
• No selling or sharing of data, because none is collected.

Children

The app collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app from your phone deletes everything it stored. There is no copy anywhere else. The exceptions are the anonymous feature requests and setup ticks you chose to send, which cannot be traced back to you and therefore cannot be picked out and removed.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the date at the top changes with it.
